I know I haven’t posted in awhile but things have been a bit crazy since my husband and I started our house search. Right now we live with my parents and we were able to save enough money to start looking for a place of our own. We are first time home buyers, so the process has been interesting and stressful. Not really in a bad way, but there is a lot of “Need this now” to “Hurry up and wait”.
We found a house about 2 hours from Orlando in Palm Bay, FL. It is right in our price range and offers a ton of space (SHE SHED!!!!) so we can grow as a family someday. So since the last week of March, we have been going full blast getting paperwork, loan paperwork, inspections and an appraisal done. It’s been hectic and I haven’t been focused on my store as much as I would like.
Anyway, Crafty Kiara will be open during the entire move and hopefully, I will be able to add more stuff to the store once we are settled. Right now I am packing all my craft goodies for the move in date of mid-May. It is amazing how much stuff I have! I am super excited to finally have a craft area – in this case, a “She Shed” that is actually a detached garage on the side of the house. I am planning to show the before and after makeover of that space as I go along.
The house we are purchasing is a handyman special, which in our case mainly means cleaning, painting and minor fixes here and there. I already have been thinking up plans for both the “She Shed” and the house so I am ready to go! Keep an eye out for updates and don’t forget to check out the store this month for 25% off all items!
